La agrupación “Jóvenes Barahoneros con Liderazgo” JOBAL, hizo entrega de una Mini Laptop a la estudiante Heidy Espinosa, quien resultó ganadora de la “Premiación al estudiante meritorio” patrocinado por “Los barahoneros del Taller de Ramoncito en el Bronx, New York y El Birán New York.com”, al obtener el más alto índice.

La entrega se  realizó en el marco de la graduación de los jóvenes de 1ro a 4to año del bachillerato de la Escuela Cristo Rey por Algelis Vargas, Director Provincial de JOBAL con la presencia del Padre Gabriel Almonte en un acto que se efectuó en la Iglesia Cristo Rey ubicada en la parte alta de la ciudad de Barahona.

Esta premiación se hizo posible por la cooperación realizada entre los barahoneros que cada sábado se reúnen en el referido taller para socializar y reforzar nuestro vínculo con la realidad que vive nuestro pueblo, a través del movimiento de jóvenes que dirige Ángel González, Secretario General de JOBAL.

El joven Ángel González dio las gracias a todos aquellos que cooperaron y dijo a “El Birán New York” que esta actividad se reanudará a partir de cada encuentro en el Taller y espera que la colaboración se mantenga, para así repetir esta premiación  e incentivar a los estudiantes de escasos recursos con herramientas para su superación en estos tiempos de modernidad. Dijo a además que se mantienen haciendo contactos con todas las organizaciones barahoneras radicadas en New York y Estados vecinos, con el mismo propósito y hacer realidad el sueño de aquellos menos pudientes.
